1. WHAT IS THE TOTAL COST OF A PAIR OF CUSTOM SHOES?

The total cost is $175.00 (U.S. shipping is included).
Here's a breakdown of the price:

$50 (The cost of the shoes from Vans.com, plus tax and delivery)
+ $125 (All the artwork, plus U.S. shipping, insurance, and delivery confirmation. For orders outside the U.S., just ask me for a shipping quote)
= $175.00

2. CAN I GIVE YOU MY OWN SHOES TO PAINT?

Yes, but I prefer ordering the shoes myself. If you do want to send me your own shoes, email me first. I need to make sure I can paint on that kind of shoe, etc.

If I do use your shoe, you will only be charged for the artwork, so the total cost will be $120.

3. WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT?

If you have a credit card, you can set up a PayPal account very easily at paypal.com

If this is still an issue, contact me and I'll work something else out with you.

4. WHAT KIND OF PAINT DO YOU USE?

I use acrylic paints mixed with a fabric medium.

5. DO YOU USE ANY PAINT-PENS OR MARKERS?

No, I paint all the designs by hand with small brushes.

6. CAN MY SHOES GET WET?

Yes. The fabric medium makes the paint permanent and it will not wash off. You may also wash them gently the sink to remove dirt spots, etc.

7. IS THERE SOME SORT OF GUARANTEE ON THE SHOES?

With normal wear and tear, the paint on your shoes should last as long as the shoes themselves do. Yes, there will be a slight degradation of the paint over time (you're wearing them on your feet!), but overall the paint holds up pretty well. If you have a serious problem with cracking, peeling, or any other defects with the paint on the shoes, e-mail me and I will be more than willing to look at the problem and see if I can fix it. This is a lifetime offer, but please understand that there may be problems that I am simply unable to fix.

8. I LIVE OUTSIDE THE U.S., CAN I STILL ORDER SHOES?

Yes! E-mail me with your address and I'll give you a shipping quote.

9. DID YOU REALLY MAKE SHOES FOR KAREN O OF THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS?

Yes, and she loved them. Unfortunately I have no photographic evidence of this, so you'll just have to trust me.

10. IS THERE ANYTHING YOU DO NOT LIKE TO PAINT ON SHOES?

- I will NOT copy other artists' work, unless it's an iconic pop-culture image or something of that nature. This rule can be stretched, but I generally do not like to copy original artwork.

- Portraits. If you'd like a portrait painted on your shoes, let me know and I will discuss it with you. There may be extra cost involved, due to the more difficult and tedious nature of painting portraits.

11. CAN YOU SEND ME A SKETCH OF THE DESIGN IN ADVANCE?

Yes. Just let me know that you'd like me to do that and I will send you some sketches and design ideas before I paint your shoes.

12. CAN I DRAW MY OWN DESIGN FOR YOU TO COPY?

Yes, although I'd prefer that you leave the designing to me.

13. WILL I GET ANY EXTRAS WITH THE SHOES?

Included with each package are some CHOOSE YOUR SHOES 1.25” buttons and/or promo stickers, etc.
